Hello again and welcome to the Social Stamping Blog Host where I am joined by a whole group of talented crafters from around Australia and New Zealand.
The group was started by my lovely friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Kelly Kent as a way of keeping connected, creating and sharing while we are all being socially distant.
You may have arrived from seeing Siobhan's fabulous creation but if you started here, click the 'Next' button at the bottom of this post to continue hopping.
The theme Kelly has chosen for us this week is 'Out Of The Box'
I love this theme as it could mean so many different things such as something used in an unusual way or a 3-D project such as a box or even, as one of the group suggested, using an item out of our recently delivered boxes of goodies from the new annual catalogue.
For my project I chose to make a treat box using the new Jar Punch and Mason Jar Shaker Domes.
Score on the long side at 5cms, 7cms, 12cms and 14cms
Score on the short side at 2cms.
For the lid you will need a piece of cardstock 8.1cms x 5.1cms scored at 1.5cms on all sides.
Burnish all score lines and cut as shown below
Fold the front and adjoining side flap up so that they can be fed into the jar punch
Construct the box and lid.
First adhere the front to the narrow side flap. Then adhere the bottom flaps to close the box (turn in the side flaps first, add adhesive to the sides of the front inside flap (with the cut-out) and adhere to the side flaps. Then adhere the back flap over the front flap.
Note: I have used Tear n Tape for the purpose of showing where to place adhesive. However when constructing boxes, I usually use wet glue as it gives more flexibility when lining up the pieces to be adhered.
Products used are available to purchase from my Online Shop here
