Hello and welcome to another ESAD Blog Hop. Today we are featuring the beautiful Colour Your Season suite which is a limited edition product and can only be purchased until the 31st August 2018 or while stocks last. It includes a stamp set which can be used to make projects for any season of the year, matching dies and 10 new watercolour pencils to add to the colours we already have. The stamp set and dies can be ordered separately or as a bundle with 10% discount,
I hope our projects show the versatility of this suite and inspire you to get creating!

For my project I chose to make a floating Easel Card using the Blended Seasons stamp set.
I have never watercoloured before but decided this stamp set presented the perfect opportunity to try my hand.
I used the smooth side of watercolour paper to stamp the flower image with 2nd generation Smoky Slate (stamped off once). I then coloured in the images by first wetting the area to be coloured and then, using ink from my ink pads, working the colour in with aquapainters. To avoid colour running into other areas, it is necessary to colour only areas which are not touching and allow each painted area to dry completely before continuing with the next area. For example I first coloured alternate petals and then coloured the remainder after the first had dried.  Once the area has dried, more colour can be added to create contours and depth.

I used my Stamparatus to stamp the floral images from the Blended Seasons stamp set. In doing so, I was able to ensure exact placement of the window images over the watercoloured images.

If you'd like to have a go at watercolouring but don't know where to start, Jenny Hall  has some great tutorials on her blog.
