The challenge at Just Add Ink this week is to use the technique 'Emboss Resist'.
I chose to make a card using the Beauty Abounds Cling Stamp Set and Butterfly Beauty Dies from Stampin'Up!®.
I first stamped the floral and 'splodge' images with Versamark ink on Whisper White cardstock and then heat embossed these with white embossing powder.
I then sponged the cardstock with Highland Heather, Coastal Cabana and Balmy Blue inks starting from the left and graduating darker to light. The white embossed images resist the colour (hence the technique title Emboss Resist) and really pop
To create texture, I flicked my markers over the cardstock to form speckles.
I die cut the butterflies from Highland Heather, Coastal Cabana and Balmy Blue cardstock using the Butterfly Beauty dies. I then covered them with clear Wink of Stella to make them sparkle.
The sentiment is from the Piece Of Cake stamp set and is heat embossed with white embossing powder on Basic Black cardstock and mounted on Mini Dimensionals.
