WA Demo Retreat Day - March 2018

Last Sunday I attended my first papercrafting Retreat. It was a full day retreat for Stampin'Up Demonstrators from WA and was a great opportunity to get to meet a whole lot of very talented ladies who I previously only knew from papercrafting groups on Facebook.

The day was very well organised by Kelly and Nicole and was a huge success. There were thirty of us altogether and each was required to design a 'Make & Take' project which could be completed in twenty minutes by other participants. We each prepared a sample and 12 kits which we put in a container with all the necessary tools to complete the project. During the day each demonstrator completed 12 Make & Takes from other demonstrators. I decided to design a masculine card using one of my very favourite stamp sets 'One Wild Ride'.

This was my Make & Take Container

Stamps: One Wild Ride
Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Basic Grey, Smoky Slate
Cardstock (CS): Basic Black,Basic Grey, Whisper White, Silver Foil
Tools: Sparkle Embossing Folder, Pocket Framelits, Bunch of Banners Framelits
Other Supplies: Dimensionals, adhesive of your choice (I used Tombow), sponge, Paper Snips Scissors

Basic Black CS 29.7 x 10.5 cms scored at 14.85 cms
Basic Grey CS 7 x 9 cms
Silver foil 3" x 3 7/8" + scrap to die cut rivets
Whisper White CS 10.4 x 7.9 cms (for card front) and 12.85 x 8.5 cms (for card interior)
Whisper White CS 3 x 9 cms for banner and 4.5 x 9 cms for motorbike

Lightly sponge all WW pieces with Smoky Slate
Stamp all WW pieces except the banner piece with the 'grunge' stamp in Basic Grey 3rd generation (i.e. stamped off twice)
Stamp images, sentiment and banner in Memento Tuxedo Black. Stamp an extra motorbike on small WW piece to fussy cut
Cut banner with the Big Shot or fussy cut
Fussy cut motorbike

Adhere the Basic Grey layer to the card base then add the silver foil layer and finally the stamped WW layer
Adhere the silver foil rivets (I used Tombow)
Adhere the banner and motorbike with Dimensionals
Adhere the interior WW layer

Hope you enjoyed my creation. Make sure you keep hopping along to see some of the other great projects from our Retreat Day. To continue the hop, just click on the 'Next' button to see what my very talented friend Kelly created for her Make & Take.
