Social Stamping Blog Hop - Subtles

Hello again and welcome to the Social Stamping Blog Host where I am joined by a group of talented crafters from around Australia and New Zealand.

The group was started by my lovely friend and fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator Kelly Kent as a way of keeping connected, creating and sharing while we were all being socially distant due to Covid-19.

You may have arrived from seeing Lisa's gorgeous creation but if you started here, click the 'Next' button at the bottom of this post to continue hopping.

The theme Kelly has chosen for us this month is 'Subtles'.

Subtles is one of Stampin' Up!'s colour families and, as the name suggests, features colours with soft tones. One of my absolute favourite colours, 'Highland Heather', belongs to this family and I have used it to create today's project.

I love making gift boxes to match my cards. This box measures 10.5cms long x 7cms wide x 4.4cms high so it can hold quite a lot of goodies.

I originally designed this card and box as part of my 'Quite Curvy' product-based class earlier this year but I liked it so much, I have re-created it several times in various different colours.

Products used (with the exception of the Layering Ovals, Gingham Gala Sequins and Big Shot which are now retired) are available to purchase from my Online Shop here

I hope you have enjoyed seeing my project today. Click the 'Next' button to see what my talented friend Sandra from New Zealand has created for you

Thanks for stopping by and hopping with us today. If you get lost or if there's a broken link, you can find a link to the next blog in Kelly's main post here

ESAD Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello again! Today I'm hopping with fellow Demonstrator friends from around Australia and New Zealand. We're all part of a Facebook group called ESAD.

We are showcasing products from the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue which launched on the 4th of May and I hope you get lots of ideas and inspiration as you hop around the blogs. You may have arrived from seeing the talented Rebecca Scurr's gorgeous creation but if you started here, click the 'Next' button at the bottom of this post to continue hopping.

With so many fabulous new products it was difficult to decide which to feature for today's hop.

This year I absolutely love all 5 of the new In Colours and Stampin' Up! have given us a great selection of products to coordinate with them.

For my project I have chosen to use the Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper (DSP) which features all of the new In Colours. The sheet I selected highlights the colours Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink.

For my card base I used Thick Basic White cardstock and dry embossed the front with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I then used the Polished Pink Stampin' Write Marker to create 'splatters'.

Next I adhered a piece of Polished Pink cardstock which I first edged using the large stitched scalloped die from the new Scalloped Contours Dies (part of the new Color and Contour Bundle).

For the last layer I adhered my piece of Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper.

At this point I couldn't decide which of the three coordinating colours I liked best for the cardstock layer, so I decided to make all three!

Using the Medium Daisy Punch, I punched out 3 daisy petals each of Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya and Polished Pink Shimmer Vellum. This Vellum is just gorgeous but it is really difficult to catch the beautiful shimmer on a photo. I adhered the 3 petal layers together using glue dots and then added one of the fabulous matching Loose Flower Flourishes to the centre of each daisy.

Lastly I heat embossed my sentiment on Basic Black cardstock using white embossing powder.

ESAD Farewell Annual Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to another ESAD Blog Hop. All good things come to an end as the saying goes and with so many fabulous new products in the upcoming 2021-2022 Annual Catalogue, it's time to say goodbye to some of our favourites.
You may have arrived from seeing Tanya's farewell creation but if you started here, click the 'Next' button at the bottom of this post to continue hopping.
Make sure you visit everyone - there are lots of great projects and you won't want to miss any!

At the end of this month one of my favourite things, the Mini Pizza Boxes, will be retiring so I thought I would use some for today's Blog Hop. The boxes come in white, which can also be coloured, and gold.

For my first project I have made a mini 'Box Of Sunshine'. When Stampin' Up! released the 'Box Of  Sunshine' Paper Pumpkin Card Kit and box last year, I thought it was such a great idea to send people boxes to brighten their day and have been making them ever since. Until now, I have used the Mini Paper Pumpkin boxes but thought I would make a really mini version with the little pizza boxes before they are no longer available.

It's amazing how many little goodies fit into these mini boxes. I coloured the exterior of the box using my Daffodil Delight ink pad with a soon to be retiring Sponge Brayer. I then took a piece of Whisper White cardstock and sponged the sunburst stencil from an old retired card kit. I adhered this to the box lid and embellished with a pair of sunglasses stamped on Daffodil Delight cardstock and die cut using the retired Pocketful Of Sunshine bundle.

I used the Box Of Sunshine stamp set for the sentiment which I stamped on a piece of a card front which I had left over from the kit. I punched this out using the Lovely Labels Pick A Punch. I then layered the sentiment onto a strip of one of the black and white stickers from the kit. Finally I added a few of the sequins from the kit.

For my second box I wanted a more elegant box so I used one of the gold mini pizza boxes. My most favourite suite in the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue was the Forever Greenery Suite. I will be so sorry to say goodbye to some of the beautiful elements of this suite but luckily the stamp set and dies and the embossing folders are carrying over to the new 2021-2022 Annual catalogue.

I created an insert for the box to display the bracelet which I have used to show possible items which these little gift boxes can be used for.

Finally, I chose to make another gift box using my favourite suite from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalogue the Fine Art Floral Suite. I coloured a white Mini Pizza Box using my Calypso Coral ink pad and a Sponge Brayer. I will be sorry to see the sponge brayers go, however we now have the fabulous Blending Brushes which are also perfect for colouring larger areas.

I cut a piece of the Fine Art Floral Designer Series Paper and overlaid this with a piece of the gorgeous Golden Garden Specialty Acetate which matches the printed paper. I stamped and die cut the bloom and leaves using the Art Gallery Bundle with Calypso Coral and Old Olive ink and the Guilded Leafing embellishment on the bloom. I attached these over a strip of Calypso Coral cardstock which has also been overlaid with a strip of the golden acetate and a strip of the Fine Art Ribbon.

The sentiment is from the retiring Special Someone stamp set and I used several Gilded Gems to add just a little more bling to my project.

This box contains a beautiful soap made by one of my very talented class ladies, Elizabeth!
