ESAD December 2018 Holiday Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to the latest ESAD Blog Hop. Today we are featuring products from the 2018 Holiday catalogue which are available for purchase until 2nd January 2019. If you haven't started your Christmas projects yet, we have some fabulous ideas here which we hope will inspire you to get creating.
You may have arrived here from seeing Jo's beautiful creation but if you started here, click the 'Next' button at the bottom of this post to continue hopping.

One of my favourite things on Christmas Day is to decorate the dining table and I know my family look forward each year to see what I have come up with. For today's project I have chosen to make a napkin holder and matching Christmas cracker (or Bonbon depending where you are).

To make my projects I used the Envelope Punch Board which is one of my most favourite tools of all and which, as you can see, is not only for making envelopes as the name would suggest!

These napkin holders can be made very quickly with the envelope punchboard. I cut a piece of cardstock 21 x 21 cms and then punched and scored at 8cms and 10cms. I then removed the top flap using my paper trimmer and stuck the remaining flaps down and embellished the belly band which was created from a piece of cardstock 24cms long x 4cms wide, scored at 3, 4.5, 14.7 and 16.2 cms.
The Christmas Cracker is also a quick and easy project with the envelope punchboard. My cardstock measured 6 1/2 x 10 inches and scored every inch along the short side. After I burnished all the folds, I lined up the left side along the fold at the 2 inch mark and punched. I repeated this along all the folds then flipped and repeated down the other side. I then scored both the left and right sides at 1 1/2, 2 and 2 1/2 inches on both ends and burnished all score lines. Finally I adhered the two sides together and used the 1 3/4" circle punch to create 2 circles and placed one at each end to stop the contents of the cracker from falling out.

I used the First Frost stamp set and Frosted Bouquet framelits dies from the Frosted Floral Suite. These can be purchased separately or as a bundle with 10% discount. I love the versatility of this set which can be used for a wide variety of occasions throughout the year. By just changing the colours used, you can give your project a totally different feel.
