There are some wonderful products in both of the catalogues and it was difficult to decide what to make for my project. I love the 'All My Love' Designer Series Paper (DSP) and needed a stack of cards to replenish my stash, so I decided to create a One Sheet Wonder (OSW).
The first task was deciding which of this beautiful paper to use. The sheet I chose is perfect for a OSW as one side is very patterned and the other is quite subtle so it is possible to combine the two sides to create more variety. I have left a couple of cards without a sentiment so that I can choose one at a later date as the occasion arises.
There is an abundance of OSW templates to be found on the internet but I decided to create my own to suit the card layouts I was aiming for.
I first did a rough sketch on scrap paper and then drew the template to scale using a 2:1 ratio on a sheet of A4 paper so I could easily photocopy or scan it.
When creating a One Sheet Wonder, the aim is to have as little waste as possible - I think I did very well as I only had a tiny scrap left over.
My card bases are half an A4 sheet of cardstock (14.8 x 10.5 cms) and the cardstock layers are 14.0 x 9.7 cms. The mats for the squares on card 9 are 4.4 x 4.4 cms.
I have marked the first three main cuts. Once these pieces have been cut, it is easy to cut the rest of the pieces required for each card.
For cards 1 and 2 I put the two pieces of paper together with the floral patterned sides facing inwards and then cut the diagonal once through the two sheets.
Cards 1 and 2
Cards 3 and 4
Cards 5 and 6
Cards 7 and 8
Cards 9 and 10
